I, too have experienced the new board being extremely slow, and therefore somewhat tougher to log onto. With regards to the newer looks of the new board, the policy of "no guests", and also having to register and type in a secret password, unfortunately, a good many, if not most forums have that. There are disadvantages and advantages toi both open and closed forums, I think. Open forums, unfortunately, are often not as secure, and therefore more vulnerable to spam, troills, etc, as opposed to closed forums where registration and the typing in of a secret password is required, which tend to be somewhat more secure and not as vulnerable to the above-mentioned.
