Ip Ching had a lot of instruction under his father, he learned the entire system from his father, then for the last 10 years of Ip Man's life Ip Ching taught the classes at the house of Ip Man under his supervision. As for the scrolls, that is that traditional chinese way of passing on the art, if you don't have one of those, your art becomes your own, you don't speak for your sifu
