I believe it is a reasonable question,to ask a martial arts intructor [who teaches a style it is said will be effective on the street] about their use of that art in an encounter on the street.if you wanted to learn how to act,i would prefer my acting teacher to have had some time spent "on" the stage before teaching me.for instance.if the intructor is coy about recalling [if any] fight experience,then move on to someone/somewhere else.i know of plenty wc teachers who will tell you about how the style worked for them before taking you on as a student.as a student you deserve the best,and need to be dealt with honestly.
