My Grandmother married a soldier from the canadian Light Horse in Edinburgh in April 1919. We know she did go to Canada that same year but returned in 1920 with out her new husband.
Grandmothers name Isabella Sturdy nee Sturdy
Her Husband Robert A Sturdy born St Helens and at the time of joing the army he lived in Lucknow with his parent Walter and mary Sturdy.
As my grandmother never spoke about this marrage we know very little of what happend.
