My father was polish, serving in the Polish army. He met and married a Canadian nurse by the name of Jacqueline Mackenzie/Mckenzie. They married somewhere in Europe during ww2. They had a son.
From what I know Jacqueline returned to Nova Scotia to have the baby, and on returning to my father was killed when the ship she was on was sunk.

My fathers name was Edward Mikolajec.
Any information would be great in piecing together my very distant family.
