I remember Viperash from the old days on AOL. He is a Vietnam Vet. When he spoke the things he said rang true. At the time I didn't know he had his own web page. There were a group of regulars in the "room". I used to spend hours watching the chit chat flow by.
I can't recall most of the names but if I was to see the names again I would remember.People like Beansimple, Hondo,Linda,Crashed1fx, and on and on.Many times someone would make a statement and I would be amazed. Amazed at the stereotypical flavor of it.I would not say anything but I had made my decision of what they were.They did not ring true.One of the screenames that used to make odd statements came to mind the other day. Out of curiousity I typed his screename and the word Vietnam into "Google". About four lines down was his name and something related to Vietnam. Clicking the link I see a copy of military information and records. It seems pownetwork/phonies had built a case against him.Suddenly my suspicians of his lies were confirmed. At least it seemed that way.Records are not always as accurate as some think. They(the permanent ones) are only as accurate as the last clerk that transcribed your 201 file to a 214. But in any case the words of a vet ring true to another vet. At one time in my life I could even spot them a block away. Now it's more difficult. The words they say though and the way they say them give them away.
