I would like to read your paper and I'm willing to help with your additional research if you like. Being a daughter of a vet places you in a unique position for inquiry, some must be for personal understanding of things your father did or didn't do - I don't know if he was able to share his stories with you. Many veterans find it difficult.
My wife encourage me to write down all that happened after living in denial for nearly 30 years. It turned out to be very healing for me and my family. Other vets have commented that their story was quite similar in emotion and their families could finally hear a lot of what they went through.
We edited things down to a book that's available on Amazon in paperback or e-book if you are interested. The title is "NOT ENOUGH TEARS," by Dave Wright. I will send you a copy if you don't have the money to spend. It's important to me that those who are truely interested should be able to learn what happened, at least emotionally, to their loved ones.
I was assigned to an combat infantry company for my 365 day tour, diagnosed with diabetes and PTSD in 2001. We lived with the symptoms for all those prior years, but the story and timeline are not unusual for many vets. Thank you for your interest and research.
