Pfc Elmo Butler was KIA in the early morning of 5/30//1968 while with Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 60th Infantry Regiment of the Army 9th Infantry Division in the Mekong Delta just south of Saigon (even though their official date is 5/29). 5 men from his Company were killed that day in a firefight located just south of the town of Tan Tru. I suggest you go to their Unit website at www.2-60inf.org and do a posting on him to see if anyone remembers him and this specific incident.
