"While serving aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid CVA-11 [the one that is now a museum in New York], I was assigned to go on a Pilot Rescue mission deep into enemy territory! Following the pilot's transponder signal we in the helicopter landed in a clearing near the source of the signal! Marines and SEALS jumped off into the jungle in search of the Pilot! Suddenly, the door Gunner standing next to me was shot in the heart, without thinking I immediately took over his gun! Somehow I could defend against the ambush and protect the men on the ground as well as the helicopter. Only the door Gunner was killed among all the others when I became Death itself defending against all of the enemies! Because SEALS were aboard the mission was classified above Top Secret and the Door Gunner's name has yet to appear on the "Wall!"
Learning about this mission from others in my division a young Agnetha Faltskog interviewed me in the living room of my parents home in the fall of 1967! The song is about my feelings about the mission and conditions during the interviews. After the first interview, as she was leaving the Stars Shown extremely BRIGHT! During the Second interview, the High School Band was joking around between each other, a half block down the street to my High School, blowing trumpets and playing drums while I was playing my Guitar as she stood in the doorway of my parents home!
PTSD has clouded my mind and made me a prisoner for years with all that means. Only recently have I made progress enough that I can face up to the facts and begin to recover from my experiences! V.A. Doctors were of no help whatsoever as private Doctors were useless as well. Through something called Centerpointe by Bill Harris, I have recovered enough to heal myself!"
This sounds phoney. Any suggestions on proving it??
