What do you folks think of a woman and her brother (acquaintances of mine)who both served in the Marine Corps 1975-77. they both sport Vietnam Veteran license tags (Alabama) on their autos and describe themselves as "Vietnam Veterans"? They make no distinction between a Vietnam Vet and a Vietnam ERA Vet. I served in the Navy during the same period and would never ever describe myself as a Vietnam Vet. It just pisses me off to no end. They spent their entire enlistments at 29 Palms. California is a damn sight different than the Republic of Vietnam. Is their anything that I can do about this? I have called the DMV in Alabama and they say that as long as your DD-214 says that you served during the Vietnam Era you can have a Vietnam Vet tag. sucks doesn't it? Am I( over reacting? Any suggestions on what I can do about it?
Thanks,
Robert
