Mr. Galloway,
I'm an old friend of Vince Cantu. Ran into him in February of this year at a funeral.
Vince told me back in the late 70's, early 80's about the battle he was in. He gave me a copy of U.S. News & World Report which detailed this battle. Vince described the odds. The Americans were definitely outnumbered. I know by the grace of GOD they were able to come out of this battle with out a larger number of fatalities.
Vince is a honorable man. Proud to have served GOD and country. The VietNam veteran has always been given a bad rap. Vince along with so many others have brought honor and pride to that generation of young men.
I want to use this venue to say "thank you" to all the VietNam veterans who served. To those who gave their lives, and to those who came back to share the stories. These men (and women) have had to heal physically, mentally and spiritually.
To my brothers, husband, friends like Vince Cantu, and reporters like yourself, who with integrity, no matter how painful, share the truth of VietNam.
GOD bless those who have served and are now serving this great country of ours.....
A friend of a friend,
Linda Ramirez Rodriguez
