Reading about the North? I need a vet's point of view.

I am a student at UT in Knoxville. My English class is all about the Vietnam War. Just recently we read a book from a North Vietnamese soldier's point of view. Now I am working on a paper about what Veitnam Veterans think about this. I need to know if you agree or disagree with students reading about soldiers killing Americans, and what their side went through. If you could leave a brief messege that would be greatly appreciated.

Also, my dad is a vet, and I have heard many stories about what went on over there, and ya'll don't get this enough, but thank you for your service!!!
