We promised you
The promise was made many years ago-as other nations tried to deem America glow.
Pearl harbor was an example of the hate-as the japs flew over America and left a nasty taste.
It was terrible what our arm forces went through-that was our first promise to you.
The promise was to take care of our fighting men-not to disguard and ignore them.
These men called on to fight for us-as they padded us, from others threatening touch.
Our soldiers went through so much to-over the years the system is taking back what we promised you.
They have slimmed down the medical protection for our fighting women and men-they’re words are false, everything is pretend.
This Government is slowly turning they’re back- after we! Forced this war in Iraq.
It was our Government forcing Sadams hands-our heads of state, implementing the plan.
The plan to change a counties laws and rules-our system felt, it was time to take Saddam to school.
Today we spend more money on the people of Iraq-yet our soldiers aren’t taken care of when they come back.
Come back from a place easily described as hell-praying they live, so the story they can tell.
We put them in a uniform; send them away-but when it comes to healthcare its put off for another day.
Where is the home coming they fought, and gave they’re lives for-these are our American Soldiers, so lets march and rally to give them more.
Our Vets need housing and healthcare-what they are getting isn’t fair.
Finding themselves homeless and alone-I guess the fight for America doesn’t merit a home.
Our soldiers fought for us, its time for theyre just due-its time to give to our vets, what America promised you. By: Patricia Robinson-11/1107-5:30pm
