I have worn Robbie's bracelet since 1982. A man I worked with at Bell Labs in Naperville, Ill. is a Viet Nam vet and belongs to a VFW in Auroa, Ill.(I know I spelled Auroa wrong!), Bill was wearing this red bracelet everyday and I got up courage to ask Bill what that bracelet was about. He told me it was for Robert Herreid who was MIA in Viet Nam. Bill got another bracelet for me, at my request. Since then, I've always called Robert, Robbie. He's been so close to me for all these 25 years that I feel I knew him. Imagine, one day at Bell Labs, when the Veterans Club held an exhibit of men missing in Action and killed in WW2, Korea, and Viet Nam, along with their histories and pictures. Until then, I'd never seen a picture of Robert. Then later in the day, his twin brother walked into the room and scared us all to death!!! Honestly, we thought we'd seen a ghost. I wish I could have known Robbie and I pray for him almost every day and hope he forgives this country for abandoning him. My father and my brother are Viet Nam vets too. John C.Graham and John Michael Graham. My baby brother's life was changed so much by his time in that horrible war. I don't think the people of the United States of America, let a lone the bafoons that have governed us, can EVER make amends to what we did to the Viet Nam Veterans and the MIA/POW's. God Bless them all!! I hope we are all here to welcome our Iraq hero's home too!! My heartfelt thanks to every Veteran!!!
