In 1971 I was serving with a rifle Platoon of 3rd Bn royal australian Regiment in SVN, and got leave back to Australia to see my wife and 5 month old son. Aboard the Panam flight to Sydney I meet two members of B troop, 7th of the 1st, aircav Regt going on R&R as well. Jerry Schumaker was a LOCH pilot, and Phil a Uh-1v pilot
and they had been on incursions to cambodia. I think Jerry had been shot down a number of times.
All these years later I wondered how life has treated them over the years. I am not still married to the lady I had then, but had three children to her and we now have four grandchildren so I guess I have been blessed. If you are still with us, fellas, I'd love to hear from you. I now live in Brisbane. Best wishes
