Posted by David Recently, the Arkansas NG changed their medical standards, which presents me with an oppurtunity to join. I'm once again applying for a waiver. The difference between this one and the one I tried to get for the Army is that they'll be getting a letter from me. I'd like to know what my chances are of getting the waiver for my condition, especially with a letter from my doctor stating I'm cured. And what can I put in my letter that will increase those chances?

I've tried to join the Marines and the Army and have been turned down for both. I was turned down because I had Generalized Anxiety Disorder at one point. We tried to get a waiver for the condition when I went to the Army and my doctor wrote a letter stating that he was confident I was free of any symptoms. However, I was turned down.
