Information on handling of KIA

I am looking for information for a story that I am writing. The husband of one of the characters is killed in Vietnam during the Feb/68 Tet offensive. I need to get an idea how his body would have been shipped home and how long it would have taken. This is not a large part of the overall story, but I want to be sure it is accurate. Any help I can get here would be appreciated. I have searched for the info thru google, but got no results.
