The week of events will include: a traveling wall, memorial service, bass tournament, golf outing, shooting range, parade, blood drive, awards ceremony, a women’s veterans luncheon, powwow, assault demonstrations, air shows, a vendor village, and concerts. The proceeds from the two benefit concerts this year at our finale site will be going to the Wounded Warriors Project and Operation Troop Aid charities. Both charities are well known for their assistance to veterans and active duty soldiers alike. Register today. The cutoff date for the commemorative coin is April 1, and the dog tag cutoff date follows shortly thereafter. So register soon to get the coin, dog tags and your top choice in lodging. Go to www.welcomehome2006.org to find information about the event and an online registration form. You can also register over the phone by calling 1-800-335-4587.
