Veternas willing to speak to me about the war

My name is Clare, and i am a student of Year 12, in Sydney Australia. I have chosen as my major work this year, to research and write a paper on the real experiences of the Vietnam War, in contrast to the media's portrayal of it. In order to accurately portray the real life experiences, i would really like to get a Veteran's perspective. My aunty was a Vietnamese civilian during the war, and her father was in the American army. Her family suffered greatly during the time and hers is one perspective i am using. I am really hoping that there is someone out there who is willing to talk to me about this topic. I understand that revisiting the memories of the war must be painful,and i do not wish to casue pain. My only wish is that you share your opinions with me, regarding the media's influence on the war. Even to just chat would be great. I would really appreciate any response to this message. Thank you!
