Seems there has been recent effort to rewrite history as it applies to Vietnam. One aspect of this "rewriting " is a new account of this country's treatment of its Vietnam Veterans. Many are implying that Vietnam Veterans were revered in awe upon thier return , idolized and that there never was any disrespect towards veterans. This is so pathetic a lie it would be funny if it weren't so wrong.For todays youth though, who weren't around to know any different the lie might be sold as truth. Finally the socialists and Ho Chi Minh sympathizers will restore their dignity with an image newly created. According to some , as many as 50 million Americans were and still are anti-Vietnam Vet. I would say the number is at least that many. They are haunted by a guilt, a guilt of what they were and still are. So be it ,rewrite your history, sell a book or two, die with a newly created account of what you were.Some of us know better.
