I am looking for a copy of a Delyse Recording Company 12" vinyl LP, Delyse record number ECB 3167, made in London in 1963. The title of this recording is "A Nation Sings." The subtitle is "Five Thousand Voices at the Royal Albert Hall." Ths is a recording of a live Gymanfa Ganu -- Welsh for "hymn singing" -- that took place in the Albert Hall on May 3, 1963.
The Delyse company may no longer be in existence. At the time this recording was made, Delyse was located at 25-27 Marylebone Road, London N.W.1. Any information that anyone has concerning the present whereabouts of this company or of any successor to it will be appreciated by me.
I have one copy of this recording. I plan to keep that copy for my own use. I have a friend who has asked that I try to locate a copy of this recording for her.
If anyone on this list has or knows the whereabouts of an available copy of this recording, please send me an e-mail with the details.
I am an American of Welsh descent. My paternal grandfather was Welsh. I enjoy very much either to hear Welsh hymns sung or to sing them myself. This music is part of my heritage.
Thank you.
