Hello fans of VC Andrews: Ive been a fan of the Flowers in the Attic books for 20 years, and only just learned that it is based on a true story! Apparently, VC Andrews had a crush on a young doctor who had been locked up in an attic for 6 years (harrowing!) Im wondering if anybody can do some detective work regarding this true story....all we know is that the doctor worked for UVA Hospital and as VC Andrews was meant to be a young lady, I imagine this was in the 1940s, or so? Could somebody contact UVA and get see if there are any archives?
