Celeste was 15 when she met Elliot, the baby's father and he was a year older. In the third book it is talking about her being 17 years and 4 months in the prologue. This is what happened before the third book started. So by the time "baby Celeste" was 6 years old that would make Celeste about 21-22 years depending where her birthday landed when the baby was born. So the notes from the doctor in the prologue is just talking about when Celeste started going to see him, not the present time of when Baby Celeste was 6 years old.
