Collins, Chief Caltabiano, O'Brien and some booters that came in right before I left Jolly J in '86. I do remember the hard core power playing going on in Jouett's engineering department in those days. A big reason why I didn't reup active duty in '86 and stay on board. As it was I did two more years reserve time on Dixon and McKee and then bid goodbye to the Nav' in '88 and went into HVAC and facilities management. I'll have to go find that cruise book to remember the B Division guys better. I do remember you guys but without the book the mind's a bit fuzzy at the moment.

I was on board Jouett about same time frame, 83-86. Worked EM02, started as messenger and moved onto lower levelman. I remember my early days a guy in the pit named Haywood trying to get me to fall for the usual initiation ploys like going for the seachest keys or bucket of gland seal. Finally got me with the BT punch in Two Fireroom. Some huge guy, I want to say his name was "Deck" or "Decker" laid me out flat on the deckplates with the whole fireroom looking on and laughing their a$$ off. I got up laughing as well, once I saw I finally was had.
Those early days also found me in B Division berthing as a boot camp MM. Everyone razzed the newbie except John Pfau...great guy. Wish I knew where he was.
Up in Main Control I remember Chief Lentz, Senior Chief McBride, Staub, Waldrep, Greg Simpson, MM1 Cary, etc. There are others from both pits but my cruise book's packed up somewhere right now.
