I'll look you up in a Cruisebook I have from that era. Your name is quite familiar.
I do remember Stockton (Idaho boy that even dipped Copenhagen in the shower) and Norm Tucker. The person I refer to was a BTCM who, admittedly, knew the rate like nobody I ever met. His problem was an addiction to authority and thrived on control. I am not the only BT (or MM, EM, or ICman) that felt that way. This guy even had the Department Upper Echelon (CHENG, MPA, DCA, etc.) wondering where he was coming from. I could write a short story to chronicle some of the things this guy did...amazing. I'll give ya another chance to figure out who it was before I divulge his identity. Clue: He was from Georgia, black guy, BCG's (strictly Navy), and would rather sleep on the ship in port SD than with his own wife. Lemme know if you need another clue.
