I was re reading your post to me and remembered that I wanted to tell you I was sorry to hear that your wife passed away. Strange as it may be, my wife passed away 6 years ago this coming January. My wife had lung cancer for 3 years...she was a smoker. I finally quit in 85 and had smoked ever since the Navy. Strange enough, I started smoking when I got in the Navy, not in High School... How long did you stay in the Navy. I was in the Reserves and only stayed for the 2 years active and 6 years reserve. I did go to the Bahamas on a old WW2 destroyer for one of the Reserve cruises and had a pretty good time. I wound up getting out as a RM2.. Sometime I wish I had stayed in the Reserves. The extra check would be nice now...ha ha... I still live in Texas City where I was born. I worked for Marathon Oil Co for 30 years here in TC. Say, shoot me your email address and I will send you more info. Mine is aa5op@yahoo.com.
Hope you are having a nice Holiday season. I know how it can be without the wife. I was married for 42 years to the girl I went with in High School. I do have a nice lady friend and we get along pretty good but I still miss my wife.
Again, enjoy the holidays..
Good Luck
God Bless,
Joe Wileman
