It seems like it takes so long to get here and then it seems to go so quickly.
Visiting the WW II Memorial and seeing some WW II and Korean Veterans as they entered the memorial will always have a special place in my heart. As they passed thru a group of by standers the applause and greetings of "Thank You" brought a lump to my throat. Then when someone said here are Vietnam Veterans the applause continued. As I passed thru the bystanders a small boy about 5 years old took my hand and said "Thank You". Thank goodness I didn't have to speak at that time.
The comradeire in the hospitality rooms was great. I felt that the banquet was a great success and the ceremony, of placing the wreath, at the Naval Academy was "Special". I know that Lydia and Laura Wilson were especially touched when they placed the wreath in the water.
Thanks to all that supported me for the last 6 years as President. I know that Jim Jordan will do a great job as President. For those of you that couldn't make it, we miss you each time we get together.
