Reunion

My first Jouett reunion and I had a great time seeing old friends and new; and a whole lot of belly kisser. I didn’t realize how popular my belly was. Thank you Ray and Colleen Fair, Terry and Maureen Smith and Bob and Shirley Terhune for putting together an outstanding Reunion. Those that didn’t come missed a lot of fun. I also want to thank Wayne Bailey for bringing his coffee cup, which brought back some fine memories. It sure was great seeing the Oleson’s again and remembering old stories of Bremerton with them. Terry George, those songs brought tears to my eyes as I’m sure it did to everyone at the banquet. The Cajun from Louisiana kept us all laughing. Herman, thanks for taking all those pictures. To everyone else too numerous to mention, thanks for making my first reunion an enjoyable and entertaining one. Joyce said she didn’t realize how much fun a bunch of sailors were and she saw true friendship among everyone. She said no way were we going to miss the 2014 reunion in Maryland. To those who missed the Portland reunion don’t miss the next one. And last but not least, to my little buddy from Maryland, if I can’t find a camp ground I’m parking the camp trailer in your driveway. Jake (Royal Baby) The loss of a friend is like that of a limb; time may heal the anguish of the wound, but the loss cannot be repaired.
