I apologize because I failed to mention I never served aboard your ship rather, just wanted to share with you the info I found this morning. You see, I’m in the same predicament, Have had two stage-4 lymphoma cancers since 2007. I too, served on 8 naval vessels 1964-1975 and was in Danang and Qui Nhon, RVN. I have been fighting this word of wars with the VA coming up on a year this June 29th, 2012.
Here is a tip for all you guys. If you know the year you were in any ports in Nam then send and E-mail to: shipshistory@navy.mil and request it. It will take approximately 6-8 weeks and the entire year will be the actual history summarized and signed by the existing CO.
