Hello Rich, I remember Pops very well. Oldest 3rd Class I ever knew. When in port he worked in a bar called the Goldbrick on south broadway.
He had the coolest beard. I had to take SN Banks off the ship in PI for court martial and years later I hailed a cab at the airport and Banks was driving it. It was a great crew and great ship and I worked on her right to the end as a tech rep for MK10 launchers.
