Rick,
I left the Jouett April 1, 1981 (April Fools Day), while the ship was in Long Beach cicilian life. I served 4 years and 10 months aboard, all in Main Control. I made E-6 in that hole. As I get older and wiser, I really can appreciate the experience. Currently, I reside in the Memphis, Tn. area, Desoto County Mississippi, near all the casinos. I'm in touch with several shipmates across the country who were aboard the same time as I.
It was an honor to serve aboard the Jouett.
