I received a message from Barry Nupen D CIV (CPF N3) today (10 Aug). He said that the Sink-Ex for Jouett was scheduled for today. She was to be sunk by a submarine with a Mark 48 ADCAP torpedo. He couldn't tell me the name of the sub for security reasons but said that he could relate that information later.
The information that we received before said that she was to be part of a Sink-Ex utilizing the airwings from the Kitty Hawk, Stennis and the Nimitz. I guess we will wait for official word but it seems that if she hasn't gone down by now she will be there shortly.
Hope Davy Jones takes good care of her. She certainly deserves it.
I will keep you informed of any information that I receive.
