It was so interesting to read these posts. My dad was on board at this time as well in the supply department (Leon Erickson). A few months ago i just finished puting all of his pics etc from his Navy career in two scrapbooks - wow did I learn a lot. I actually put in a copy of the letter that came out regarding this Evac in his book (my mom saved everything)as well as a newpaper article about it. Thanks for serving!!!
