There was what is called a "hazing" incident in a western suburb of Chicago with the Glenbrook North High School senior and junior girls. There is video and newspaper coverage in the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun times. I personally read the Sun Times. What apparently happened is the senior girls invited the junior girls to a game of touch football in a local forest preserve off school property. What it turned into is hard to describe as "good clean fun". There was 1 girl with a broken ankle and 1 with stitches,10-15 depending on which account you read. The school cannot take any action cause it was OFF school property and that is correct however a criminal investigation is underway and I can see some charges coming from that as on video girls were assaulting each other and alcohol was present to stir the pot. This was termed a rite of passing into your senior year but I am confused. I grew up in a small northern town and their high school has more people than my town does. So why does this happen as I have several college roommates who said a "powder puff" football game between juniors and senior girls only happened on homecoming week so is this "hazing" thing a Chicago western suburb tradition???? So try suntimes.com or chicagotribune.com on friday May 9th to start seeing details. There is very little video but Chicago has many stations and your company has people in the Chicago area so maybe someone can find more info. 1 girl it said got her earring ripped from her ear, well I did that to another girl in a high school fight myself. Stupid b###h wore whoops to fight in, and they say us blonds are stupid.lol farmgirl_74@hotmail.com Update: This article has an interesting line in it,"The incident was an ANNUAL INITIATION of junior girls in which they were beaten and smeared with paint and feces". What kind of high school in this?? Ok yea I grew up in rural Illinois in a small town and this makes no sense to but yea no one asked me anyway. Are there other events such as initiating the junior girls into their senior year that anyone else knows about. Guess I am lucky I missed all this excitement,lol, in small town America.
