A former Miss Great Britain body builder was jailed yesterday for a savage street attack on another woman. Beefy Jackie Elder, 33, repeatedly punched 5ft 3in Jude Mills in the face, pulled her hair, threw her into railings, kicked her in the face, stomach and between her legs. As Jude started to fall to the ground Jackie pulled her upright by the hair and punched her in the stomach over 10 times. She then let her fall to the floor in a ball and proceeded to kick her in the chest and face. Witnesses said the thought 5ft 8in Elder was a bloke – and one man who tried to intervene was also assaulted. Elder – who has a solid relationship with another woman – won Miss Great Britain title in 1996 and works as a nightclub bouncer. Hairdresser Jude, 20, said after the case “I thought I was going to die. She was so big I couldn’t defend myself. I’ve had some boxing training so at first I kept my guard up at first of she’d have broken my nose. She was mental, like an animal, I’m still getting treatment and need to wear a gum shield at night” Judge Ian Crompton jailed elder for nine months. He told her, “Your victim was a slender girl of 5ft 3in and the attack was unprovoked” “She had not chance to defend herself. It was a dreadful offence” Liverpool crown court heard the attack happened as Jude, her sister and a friend were looking for a taxi after a night out in the city. Elder who was with two other women shouted abuse and the launched a “sustained and vicious attack” She had denied assault. Elder of Garson, has previous convictions for disorder and drunkenness. PG
