I would not allowed. And I would not care if I had a bad need. What is so cool about this? Unless you are not telling the entire history and your current wife deserved it. I would not allowed anyway. I would bit the s###t out of the two guys if they don't let me protect my wife. And believed me I know how to protect the people I love and care.
