The reserves would have played in Div 2 of the Island League. No disrespect to anyone who plays in that league, but the gap up to the Doc Martens is huge.
Couple that with the fact that most of last years reserve team has gone to Cowes Sports available players were limited.
The idea of having a first team squad only, is not a draw back, it could be an advantage so long as the right mix of players is achieved. I for one believe Tatey will do that.
The Youth Team will benefit the club so dont knock it till its been tried.
The thing to do at present is to support the club in what it is doing and then criticise if things do not work out.
