Posted by Nancy on 4/4/2004, 12:08 am I have a gay friend, who lives in, Owosso, MI with breast cancer. She was told it was inoperable. But, did chemo and radiation therapy and then had the mastectomy anyway. She was on her second round of chemo when her healed incision, opened up. And, her lungs filled with fluid. She now has cellulitis. She lives alone. No family, around. And, no real help. She has nurses come twice a week to change the dressing. And, she still get chemo once a week. She is homebound, because of the open wound. And, she really is hurting and needs help getting to the doctors, treatments, and get food in the house. Do you know of any help for her? Any volunteer's? She is 65yr old. And, a wonderful lady. I live in Florida. And, I am just trying in some way to get her some help. If you can advise me, I would be grateful. Thank you
