I am of Indian origin but live in the UK. I am interested to find the origin of my surname (Burgul) which is unusual even by Indian standards. My theory is that the name came from the Persian invaders who occupied northern India. I am tall and fair skinned - unusual for an indiginous Indian and further support to my theory. Can anyone help?
