I am trying to locate information about my wife's WATSON relatives who lived in Constantinople from at least 1846 until at least 1874. Julian Adolphus WATSON (b. Malta 1814)was married Mary STEPHENS in the British Consulate, Constantinople in 1846 and died there in 1863. He was a ship broker and merchant. Julian and Mary had a number of children born in the city, including my wife's great grandfather Henry Griffin WATSON (b. 1849) who moved to Marseille, France in 1874 where he died in 1916. Any help with this WATSON family much appreciated, or any advice about how to trace further information about them in Istanbul would be welcome - in particular about where Julian WATSON might be buried.
