Re: Greenhouse Irrigation

I would not use the Senninger Mini-Wobbler. It is made to water much larger areas. It would waste more water than it utilizes. Water droplets would be much larger, too.|
As to using rigid PVC pipe, that is not recommended. PVC allows sunlight to penetrate which causes algae growth inside the pipe which clogs sprinkler nozzles. The black poly tubing does not allow that to happen. Also, the Dura-pol has ultraviolet inhibitors built into it to prevent breakdown by sunlight. PVC pipe does not.
Hope this helps.

: I would suggest the DAN Greenhouse
: They can be found in our catalog on page 32.
: For a 12' wide house wou would run a single
: row of sprinklers down the center, spaced 3'
: apart. Use the orange nozzle/ Black Round
: Spinner combination. This offers 92%
: uniformity, which is excellent. Precipitation
: rate would be .71" per hour.
: For the 24' wide house you would run the same
: sprinklers, but you would use 2 rows, as if
: you were watering two seperate 12' wide
: These sprinklers are generally installed
: using 3/4" low density poly hose (we use
: "Durapol Blue Stripe" found on page
: 34 of our catalog). Using zip ties you can
: usually get it to look good in the rafters.
: I hope this helps. If you have trouble
: downloading our catalog feel free to contact
: us to get one in the mail.

: I would like to set up watering from above
: thew top of tube being 80" tall and
: 11'tall consecutivley.
: what system should I use. i would like to
: have rigide pipe above to keep things neat.
: : : I was wondering if the Senninger Inverted
: mini-Wobbler would be better and we could
: space them further apart?
: let me know what you think.
: I like the idea of using a more solid ridid
: PVC pipe also
