Got up this morning and it was -4 celcius and snowing lightly so off I headed to the same area as yesterday. Got to take advantage of this balmy weather while it lasts, they are calling for -20 by tomorrow. May have to dig out my parka one of these days...
It was a gorgeous day in the woods, the scenery alone made it worth being out.
Of course climbing up and down the sides of the river valley as I hunted was thirsty work so a coffee break was in order along with a change of battery. (tip..when hunting in cold weather keep a spare battery in an inside pocket. the cold kills batteries fast!)
I was working some pretty thick bush today and climbing over and around deadfalls got pretty tiring.
There are colours to be seen, even in winter.
And here's my loot for the day, not a lot but fun.
Makes you wonder..how did a Washington state tax token end up in the bush in Edmonton Alberta?
