I bought a detector Bounty hunter land star, dont laugh it was 350 bucks and it sucks for silver, somehow it thinks everything rusted and large is a silver dollar. Excellent for pennies though, and some relic stuff. I have decided i really dig this hobby and i want to get the best detecter possible and i want to use it on land, beach and in shallow fresh and salt water. Im deffinately getting a sunray probe, that bullseye 2 sucks, so now instead of being a totally blind ground hog i can see 1 hole inch....whoopeeeee. anyway i'm trying to decide between mine lab explorer2 and whites dfx or is there something better? it stunk to waste 350 on the bounty hunter but if i wasted another 1100 only to find out for 50 bucks more i could of gotten something better that would reallly suck. if anyone has used these upper so called premium detectors and has any info or suggestions please let me know, i cant seem to find any third party comparison of any metal detectors ex web site or consumer reports kind of thing. thanks for the help.
