Lantern in service

I am a volunteer at the Minnesota Streetcar Museum and we have a new book by Aaron Isaacs called "Twin City Trolleys in Color." Here is a photo of our favorite collectible in service. I will try a link to the Minnesota Reflections website and please let me know if you cannot view the photo.
This shows street work circa 1953 on Wabasha St. at about 12th St. on the north edge of downtown St. Paul. Twin City Rapid Transit used pre-fabricated track and switches to construct a temporary shoo-fly around the work. They used hot blast lanterns to warn the Motorman to slow down. http://reflections.mndigital.org/cdm/singleitem/collection/msn/id/902/rec/1
