I am always on the lookout for kerosene lanterns in the movies, and of course street/highway lanterns are especially tough to spot. One of my favorite flicks is The French Connection (1971) with Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider. At the 1 hour 22 minute point Popeye and Cloudy are watching a Lincoln Continental parked on a New York street. A junker car drives by a couple of times and you can see lighted yellow lanterns on the street.
