Have had this cold blast lantern sitting for years in my closet, forgot it was there honestly.
It has all the signs that it's a defiance lantern including the defiance tell tale burner plate air hole design.
Marked on the fount No.100 S.G.
This is the larger no.2 style, not the smaller ones that took the 5/8" wicks. This would have either taken the 1" or 7/8" wick, more probably the 1" due to it's age.
Can anyone advise me who actually made this lantern and give or take when it was made.
SG kinda points me to steam gauge but the lanterns design says defiance 100%.
I know at one point embury purchased dies and such from defiance but this lantern in my view has to be made before that happened. I could be wrong though.
I have been collecting for bout 20 years, but this one just throws me for a loop a bit.
Any info would be appreciated.
