There are other tid-bits in the archive here if you do a search for Paull's. Another reason for Paull's longevity may have been their other stamping products. Wheeling was an early producer of metal tubes for toothpastes, ointments and artists' oils. They invented tubes with a plastic spout that were used on the first tubes of Crest.
