I also think you all must not have much to do if you spend your time making fun of someone you do not even know. So, if you all know so much, prove to me what my lantern was made for as I do assure you it was made with the risers on an angle. I did just figure out it was black when first manufactured. Not sure when the red paint was applied, but my research says a lot of the lanterns Embury made were marked or painted to suit the buyer, so may have been painted red either by Embury or the buyer. As to the wick holder, it is an original but is a replacement for the one that was in the lamp. You may be right about it being a Dietz, but again you would need to prove that.
