I believe the Rayo catalogs in some cases included old stock pictures.
The Rayo 1915 catalog that Woody sells is marked R700, and his Prisco that it matches up to is not dated, but penciled in 1915.
The Prisco 1915 on Pearson's site is dated 1915 and does not match the one Woody has identified as 1915, so I expect Woody's is probably a year or two later.
Talk is cheap when people are guessing, but I have been told that the numbers on the Rayo catalogs represent dates as follows. Of the Rayo catalogs that I know of, the R100 represents 1911, the R500 represents 1915, the N700 & R700 represent 1917. Who knows if this is true. The 1912 Rayo/Standard Oil catalog is not dated 1912, but has prices penciled in dated 3-1-1912.
I need some more Prisco dated catalogs to truely determine the Rayo dates.
Anybody know of any other Prisco catalogs?
