Basically, if it has the socket flanges to hold the bail upright, it is 1916-1929. If it has the Defiance "Always Standing" bail with the wire loop bail connections, it is 1930-1934. If it has the bail attachment loop connecting thru the tube and terminating into the chimney bell, it is 1934-1942. Further refinements on these dates are in the works concerning several changes to the Camlox lift guide plate, made over the years.
